Women’s Soccer Rocks the Regents

MEQUON, Wis. – CUW women's soccer picked up the convincing 5-0 victory over the Regents on Rockford Saturday afternoon to improve to 3-3-2 overall and 2-1-1 in conference play.

Senior Selena Esten (Cedarburg, Wis.) continued her excellent season when she slid a shot past the Rockford goalkeeper in the 21st minute to give the Falcons a 1-0 lead on a through-ball pass from sophomore Brei Rozmiarek (West De Pere, Wis.).

The Falcons would extend their lead in the 35th minute when Selena Esten headed the ball into the back of the net from the corner kick delivery from junior Isabella Rapp (Grafton, Wis.).

The Blue and White's third and final goal of the second half came courtesy of Isabella Rapp, who dribbled around the keeper and found the back of the net after receiving a lead pass from Selena Esten.

Heading into the half, the Falcons led 3-0.

CUW's scoring would continue in the 76th minute when Bella Rapp left it off to Selena Esten, who connected with sophomore Shay Lange (Racine, Wis.), who ripped a shot past the Regent's goalie.

In the 79th minute, Lange returned the favor when she assisted on Selena Esten's third goal of the day to give CUW the comfortable 5-0 win.

In the win, the Falcons outshot the Regents 26-2.
