Women's Lacrosse, four student-athletes earn IWLCA honor

GRAND LAKE, Colo. – Concordia University Wisconsin's Women's Lacrosse program and four of its student-athletes were named to the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Academic Honor Roll, the organization announced.

CUW was one of 125 NCAA Division III institutions recognized for the award after earning at least a 3.0 team grade point average.

Breanne Geipel (Hartland, Wis.), Hayley Peppers (Franktown, Colo.), Aly Pinkos (South Milwaukee, Wis.) and Gabrielle VanBeaver (Green Bay, Wis.) earned the IWLCA honor after having a 3.5 cumulative gpa or higher. The four were part of a list that included 364 NCAA Division III student-athletes.

The Falcons had their most successful season in 2013 after finishing with a 12-5 overall record, including an 8-2 record in the Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference. They were also 8-2 on their home turf at Fitting Field.
