Peppers named MWLC Defensive Player of the Week

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin midfielder Hayley Peppers has been named Midwest Women's Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced.

Peppers (Franktown, Colo.) led the Falcons to a pair of victories this past week. The junior scored three goals and assisted on a pair of markers in a 16-3 victory over Aurora. During the win, Peppers picked up a program record 16 ground balls to go along with a career-high eight draw controls and three caused turnovers.

She closed the week with three assists, three ground balls and six draw controls in an 18-7 win over Illinois Institute of Technology.

The conference weekly accolade is the first of her career and the first this season for CUW.
