St. Scholastica cruises past Women's Hockey in NCHA matchup

DULUTH, Minn. – The College of St. Scholastica put on an offense display during Saturday's Northern Collegiate Hockey Association matchup against Concordia University Wisconsin. The Saints scored four goals in the opening period en route to an 8-1 victory at Mars Lakeview Arena.

CSS (1-0-1, 1-0-1 NCHA) fired 47 shots on goal and covered two power-play opportunities to earn the victory. The Saints combined for 103 shots on goal during the two-game series.

Eight different Saints found the back of the net, while Michell Rebeck assisted on three of those markers.

Junior Maxine Blohowiak (Green Bay, Wis.) scored CUW's (0-3-1, 0-1-1 NCHA) lone goal in the third period. Freshman Katherine Pauletti (Roseville, Minn.) assisted on the score eight minutes into the final frame. CUW ended the contest with 35 shots on goal.

The Falcons return home on Friday at 7 p.m. for the first of two games against UW-Stevens Point. CUW will complete a three-game homestand the following Tuesday against Lake Forest College.
