Emily Hafemann Repeats as a CoSIDA Academic All-District Selection

MEQUON, Wis. – Emily Hafemann was named to the 2020-21 CoSIDA Academic All-District Women's Basketball Team, announced by College Sports Information Directors of America on Thursday afternoon. This is the second-straight season that Hafemann has claimed the honor.

"Emily is once again very deserving of this honor," head coach Stacey Brunner-Jones said. "She is a very commendable young woman and is an outstanding student with a 4.0 grade-point average as a nursing major and as a leader on our basketball team. She has very high standards for herself and sets lofty goals, which she continually meets. Her success on and off the court will allow her to do many great things in her professional career after she graduates. This academic award is a testament to the quality of student-athletes we have here at Concordia University Wisconsin."

A senior from Hales Corners, Wisconsin, Hafemann is earning the honor for the second time in her career. She started in all 15 games this season and averaged 13.9 points per game on 38.9 percent shooting. The guard also shot 37.5 percent (21-of-56) from outside the three-point line, to go along with 3.3 rebounds per game and 3.1 assists per game and a 1.41assist-to-turnover ratio. Hafemann scored in double-figures 10 times this season and three times surpassed the 20-point plateau. Hafemann scored a career-high 27 points on 7-of-18 shooting on Feb. 27 in a home win over MSOE.

The Wisconsin native is a two-time All-NACC First Team selection.

Hafemann has a 4.00 grade-point average, with a degree in nursing.

District VI is composed of schools from Michigan, Minnesota and Wisconsin.
