Stacey Brunner-Jones records her 300th victory against MSOE

MEQUON, Wis. – It was a milestone day for the women's basketball program on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons were able to down the Raiders, 57-45, to secure the 300th victory of Stacey Brunner-Jones' career. The victory propels CUW to 2-1 on the season and MSOE to 0-1.

"I am so proud to represent CUW and our women's basketball program," said head coach Stacey Brunner-Jones. I would like to thank all of my alumni, current players and all of my assistant coaches that made this possible. My friends and family that support me get me through all of the ups and downs each season. I would also like to thank my parents that are my number one fans."

The Falcons jumped on the Raiders early on Saturday and led 18-7 after the first quarter. Sophomore Lindsey Smitsdorff (Coon Rapids, Minn.) led all players with six points.

The two teams went into halftime with Concordia leading, 29-19.

The Raiders would cut the Falcons lead to five points at 45-40, but the Falcons would close the door to secure the victory with a 12-5 run over the last six minutes of play.

Lindsey Smitsdorff recorded a double-double with 17 rebounds and 16 points.

Junior Camryn Szolyga (Waukesha, Wis.) finished with 13 points and eight rebounds. Senior Clara Chambers (Mineral Point, Wis.) added 10 points and a team-high three steals.

The Falcons held a 46-29 rebounding advantage on Saturday.

The Blue and White open NACC play on Friday night at Lakeland.
