Best, Grenz named to MLC All-Academic Team

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Lacrosse student-athletes Marino Best and Christopher Grenz were named to the Midwest Lacrosse Conference All-Academic Team, the league office announced. A total of 16 student-athletes were named to the MLC All-Academic Team.

A MLC All-Academic Team is selected at the conclusion of each academic year. The honor is given to student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically. To be named to the all-academic team, student-athletes must carry a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50, must be at least a sophomore and must have lettered during the previous season.

Best (Nanaimo, British Columbia) ended his sophomore year with a 3.63 cumulative grade point average. He was tied for ninth on the team with 17 points (12 goals, five assists).

Grenz (Centennial, Colo.) completed his junior year with a 3.56 cumulative grade point average and is the second-straight year he has been named to the MLC All-Academic Team. He was also a All-MLC First Team selection as a defender.
