Bundra, Dahms earn MLC Player of the Week honors

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin's Danny Bundra and Danny Dahms earned Midwest Lacrosse Conference Player of the Week honors, the league office announced on Monday.

Bundra was named MLC Defensive Player of the Week after helping the Falcons to three victories this past week. The faceoff specialist had 22 ground balls 41 faceoff wins. He won 16-of-24 faceoffs and picked up 10 ground balls during a dominating 15-7 victory over Olivet College.

The sophomore from Lake Zurich, Ill., then won seven faceoffs and picked up four ground balls in the team's first-ever win over Adrian College, 11-10. Bundra then won 18-of-21 faceoffs (85.7 percent) and picked up eight ground balls in a 14-4 home victory over Alma College.

Dahms won MLC Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading the Falcons to a trio of wins this past week. The midfielder had 13 goals, five assists, three ground balls and two caused turnovers. He had a hat trick, an assist and a caused turnover during a dominating 15-7 victory over Olivet College.

The senior from Calgary, Alberta followed by scoring eight points (career-high-tying six goals, two assists), which is the second most in program history, during the team's first-ever win over Adrian, 11-10. He then had four goals, two assists, three ground balls and a caused turnover in a 14-4 home victory over Alma College.

The weekly honor is the first of the season for Bundra and the second of his career. It is the first weekly accolade of the season for Dahms and the second of his career.

It is the first time in program history the Falcons have won both the MLC Defensive and Offensive Player of the Week honors in the same week.
