Burrell named MLC Defensive Player of the Week

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin's Kyle Burrell was named Midwest Lacrosse Conference Defensive Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

The senior helped the Falcons finish 2-0 in conference play this past week. Burrell, a Calgary, Alberta native recorded eight ground balls and four caused turnovers in a 17-2 home victory over MSOE on Thursday and added four ground balls, two caused turnovers and a goal during a 24-10 home win over Hanover College on Saturday. For the week, Burrell had 12 ground balls and six caused turnovers to lead the Falcons defensive effort.

CUW (4-2, 3-0 MLC) is scheduled to face Olivet College, Adrian College and Alma College in non-league action this week.
