Heideman secures NACC Pitcher of the Week award
WAUKESHA, Wis. – Freshman Andrew Heideman was named the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Pitching Student-Athlete of the Week for the games of April 7-13, the league announced Monday.
Heideman (Bakersfield, Calif.) threw a complete-game four-hitter in the Falcons 5-1 win over MSOE on Sunday. He punched out a career-high eight batters, while walking just two in the 111-pitch effort.
Earlier in the week Heideman threw two innings against North Park and recorded five strike outs. He finished the week with 13 strikeouts over 11 innings.
Heideman and the Falcons will return to action today in a non-conference game against Maranatha Baptist University, beginning at 4 p.m. at Kapco Park.
