Burgert earns spot on D3Baseball.com Team of the Week

Concordia University Wisconsin senior Beau Burgert was named to the D3Baseball.com Team of the Week as the website released its team on Tuesday. The April 1 edition counted the games from March 23-30.

Burgert (Oshkosh, Wis.) was named the DH after serving in that spot in three games for CUW. The senior had a pair of multi-hit games for the Falcons, including a 2-for-4, five-RBI performance against Dominican University. His highlight of the week came in the bottom of the ninth against the Stars, as belted a game-tying grand slam, making the score 5-5. CUW would add another run for the 6-5 win. 

Burgert added a two-hit game against Middlebury, a contest CUW won by a 14-3 score and also drove in two runs against Williams College.

The Falcons are off to a 5-6 start this season and will play tomorrow against St. Norbert College at Kapco Park at 4 p.m.
