Jennifer Mies Named NACC Student-Athlete of the Week

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its final Student-Athlete of the Year Award for Women's Tennis on Tuesday and named Jennifer Mies the recipient.

A junior from Brookfield, Wisconsin, Jennifer Mies is claiming the title for the first time in her career.

Mies played a key role in the Falcons' NACC Tournament title this past week.

With freshman Mallory Moen, she went 2-0 on the week at No. 3 doubles.

She also clinched the NACC Tournament title for the Falcons with a 1-6, 6-2, 6-4 victory over Ellie Murphy at No. 5 singles.

Mies and the Falcons open NCAA Tournament play on Friday at Wisconsin-Whitewater.

The Falcons secured the NACC Student-Athlete of the Week honor on six occasions in 2021, with junior Mia Andrae, junior Ricki Budewitz and freshman Ashley Samuta also claiming the title.
