Women’s Tennis Grounds the Green Knights
DE PERE, Wis. – The CUW women's tennis team extended the winning streak to two matches with a 6-3 victory at St. Nobert on Sunday afternoon. CUW improves to 3-2 with the victory.
The Falcons struck first on Sunday with an 8-3 victory with the team of junior Ricki Budewitz (Watertown, Wis.) and freshman Ashley Samuta (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) at No. 1 doubles.
The Blue and White took the lead after doubles play with freshman Mallory Moen (Neenah, Wis.) and junior Ashley Saniter (Beaver Dam, Wis.) winning at No. 3 doubles at 8-4.
Ricki Budewitz bounced Lauren Paulson at No. 1 singles, with a 6-2, 6-1 victory.
Junior Elizabeth Johnson (Hubertus, Wis.) jammed Megan Pankow at No. 5 singles with a 6-0, 6-1 victory.
Ashley Samuta secured the match with a 6-3, 6-3 victory over Anja Jacobsen at No. 2 singles.
Mallory Moen moved past Hannah Keller at No. 3 singles with a 6-1, 7-6 victory.
The Falcons will return to play on Saturday against Wisconsin-La Crosse.
