Women’s Tennis Reels in Lakeland

KOHLER, Wis. – The Falcons hooked the Muskies and threw them into the boat with a 9-0 victory on Sunday. The Falcons soar to 10-4 on the year and to 7-0 in the NACC with the victory.

The Blue and White also secured a first-round bye in the NACC Tournament with the victory over Lakeland.

The No. 3 doubles team of freshman Ashley Samuta (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) and freshman Jordana Burkeland (Oregon, Wis.) took the first point on Sunday with an 8-0 victory.

At No. 2 doubles, junior Mia Andrae (Cedarburg, Wis.) and junior Elizabeth Johnson (Hubertus, Wis.) won 8-0.

Junior Ricki Budewitz (Watertown, Wis.) and junior Jennifer Mies (Brookfield, Wis.) secured the third doubles point on court one with an 8-0 victory.

Elizabeth Johnson jumped on Jessica Leicht with a 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 4 singles.

Jordana Burkeland bounced Bobainah Cha away at No. 5 singles, 6-0, 6-0.

Ricki Budewitz beat up Baylee Babcock at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-2.

Jennifer Mies swept away Kallie Hoeft at No. 3 single, 6-0, 6-0.

Freshman Auden Pearson (Kaukauna, WIi.) pummeled Morgan Erbtoesser at Mo. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-0.

Mia Andrae fried the final fish in Conway at No. 2 singles, 6-1, 6-1.

 CUW travels to Edgewood on Saturday in the battle for the NACC title.
