HANOVER PARK, Ill. – The CUW women's tennis team fell to 3-4 on the year with a 9-0 loss at Wheaton on Saturday afternoon.

The Falcons put up a battle at No. 1 doubles with junior Ricki Budewitz (Watertown, Wis.) and freshman Ashley Samuta (Glen Ellyn, Ill.), but fell short, 8-5.

At No. 1 singles, Ricki Budewitz, won six games for CUW with a 6-1, 7-5 loss.

Freshman Mallory Moen (Neenah, Wis.) also won six games in a 6-3, 6-3, loss at No. 3 singles.

The Falcons return home on Saturday when they host St. Mary's (Minn.).
