Seven Falcons Secure All-NACC Honors for Women’s Soccer

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW women's soccer team tied a program record with seven All-NACC honorees. The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its All-NACC teams on Wednesday afternoon. Selena Esten also claimed the NACC Offensive Player of the Year crown. Selena Esten, Isabel Downs, Karoline Haugland and Carmen Rowe were all named to the All-NACC First Team and Jordan Lafferty, Allison McElwee and Kaeley Sterkel were All-NACC Second Team honorees. 

Selena Esten

A junior forward from Cedarburg, Wisconsin, Selena Esten claimed the NACC Offensive Player of the Year honor along with first-team honors. This is the third-straight year that she has claimed All-NACC honors and the second-straight year that she has claimed the Offensive Player of the Year title. Esten led the NACC in goals with 22, finishing regular-season play with 47 points and four game-winning goals.

Isabel Downs

A senior forward from Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, Isabel Downs is claiming All-NACC honored for the third-straight year. Downs sank NACC defenses all season with eight goals and six assists.

Karoline Haugland

A junior midfielder from Bergen, Norway, Karoline Haugland is claiming All-NACC accolades for the third-straight season. Haugland led the NACC with 38 points in conference play with 38 points on a NACC-high 16 goals and six assists.

Carmen Rowe

A freshman defender from Copley, Ohio, Carmen Rowe is appearing on her first All-NACC team. Rowe helped anchor one of the strongest defenses in the NACC. The Blue and White only allowed 0.31 goals per game in NACC play.

Jordan Lafferty

A junior midfielder from Surprise, Arizona, Jordan Lafferty is making her first All-NACC team. Lafferty has 15 points on the season and leads the NACC with 11 assists, while also scoring two goals.

Allison McElwee

A senior forward from Laramie, Wyoming, Allison McElwee is appearing on her third-straight All-NACC Team. McElwee ended the regular season with three goals and an assist.

Kaeley Sterkel

A senior goalie from Dana Point, California, Kaeley Sterkel is securing All-NACC honors for the third-straight season. Sterkel was a wall again for the Falcons in the regular season where she posted eight complete-game shutouts and was a part of three-team shutouts. She posted a .934 save percentage in NACC contests and recorded 74 saves.
