Kaeley Sterkel Claims NACC Defensive Player of the Week Title

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday morning. Claiming the NACC honors this week were Kaeley Sterkel and Regan Coxon of Dominican.

A senior from Dana Point, California, Kaeley Sterkel is claiming the NACC Defensive Player of the Week honor for the second time this season and for the fifth time in her career.

Sterkel started the week with seven saves against Lake Forest in a 1-0 victory.

She kept her shutout streak alive with a save in a 3-0 shutout victory at Lakeland that secured a share of the NACC title.

The California native has had eight complete-game shutouts on the season and a part of three particle shutouts.

Sterkel also claimed the honor on Sept. 28.

Sterkel and the Falcons take on Illinois Tech in the NACC Tournament Semifinals on Wednesday.
