LISLE, Ill. – The CUW women's soccer team took care of business on Saturday afternoon on a NACC business trip to Benedictine. The Falcons bounced Benedictine to the tune of a 4-0 victory to improve to3-1 on the season and 2-0 in NACC play.
"Another solid conference victory," said head coach Ryan Middendorf. "I am thrilled with the team's focus and commitment to a tremendous work rate. Overall, it was a great team win."
On Saturday, the Selena Esten show debuted in Lisle with three goals from the junior from Cedarburg, Wisconsin. Esten drew first blood with two first-half goals and the cherry on top with a goal in the 61st minute.
Junior Karoline Haugland (Bergen, Norway) added a goal in the 47th minute.
Senior Kaeley Sterkel (Dana Point, Calif.) collected five saves in another shutout victory.
The Falcons return home on Wednesday in a match against Wisconsin Lutheran.
