Women’s Soccer Whips Wisconsin Lutheran

MEQUON, Wis. – The women's soccer team took on Wisconsin Lutheran on Wednesday and showed off against the Warriors with a 4-0 victory. The victory keeps the Falcons unbeaten in the NACC at 3-0-0 and to 4-1-1 overall

Junior Jordan Lafferty (Surprise, Ariz.) scored the first game-winning goal of her career in the 23rd minute of the first half.

The Falcons struck again with a minute left in the first half when Selena Esten, a junior from Cedarburg Wisconsin, scored off the foot of sophomore Sabrina Moore (Park Ridge, Ill.).

The second half would see two more goals both coming off the offensive juggernaut Karoline Haugland (Bergen, Norway) with both assists coming from the senior Isabel Downs (Menomonee Falls, Wis.).

Both goalies would register the same number of saves, seeing senior Kaeley Sterkel (Dana Point, Calif.) post seven saves in 90 minutes in the net.

Esten would lead the flock in total shots recording seven in the contest with Haugland posting four.

The Falcons return to the pitch Saturday in another home game against Illinois Tech.
