ADRIAN, Mich. – The Falcons faced the sixth-ranked Bulldogs of Adrian on Saturday night. The Bulldogs protected home ice with a 7-0 victory. The loss sends CUW to 10-8-1 on the year and to 5-6-0 in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association.
The Bulldogs scored five goals in the first period.
The Black and Gold then added two more in the second period.
Adrian outshot the Falcons on Saturday, 47-9.
Senior Annalina Van Hercke (Castle Rock, Colo.) posted 33 saves in the start.
Sophomore Kami McCardle (Jackson, Wis.) stopped all seven shots she faced in the third period.
The Falcons look to level the series on Sunday.
