
Women's Hockey Projected Fifth in the NCHA
DULUTH, Minn. – The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) announced its preseason coaches poll on Thursday afternoon. The Falcons are projected to finish the 2022-23 NCHA campaign in fifth place.
The Falcons collected 36 points in the coaches poll.
Adrian College is projected to win the conference with 60 points and five first-place votes.
The Green Knights of St. Norbert are picked second with 54 points and two first-place votes.
The Spartans of Aurora also earned a first-place vote and 49 points, one point ahead of Lake Forest at 48 points and one first-place vote.
Last year, the Falcons finished in fifth place with an 8-71 record in the NCHA.
CUW opens the season on Oct. 30 at Marian. NCHA play begins on Nov. 11 at Trine.
