Women's Hockey Duo Earns All-NCHA Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) released its all-conference teams and special awards on Thursday afternoon. The Falcons landed two selections onto the 2022-23 Women's NCHA All-Conference Team in Emily Reimche and Makayla Spejcher. Spejcher was also voted as the NCHA Freshman of the Year and to the All-Freshman Team.

A freshman from Green Bay, Wisconsin, Makayla Spejcher is the first Falcon to claim the NCHA Freshman of the Year title. She is also the only freshman to be named to the NCHA All-Conference Team.

The Wisconsin native put together an impressive campaign, finishing tied for eighth in overall points with 27 points, on 15 goals and 12 assists, while compiling 21 points with 10 goals and 11 assists in league play to rank fifth in scoring in NCHA-only action.

Spejcher is also the ninth Falcon to claim NCHA All-Freshman Team honors.

A senior from Billings, Montana, Emily Reimche is claiming All-NCHA honors for the second straight season. Reimche finished league play with 13 points on three goals and 10 assists.

Reimche is the first Falcon to claim All-NCHA honors in back-to-back seasons. She also joins Lexi Holman, Emily Heckendorf, Sarah Luberda and Sam Meuwissen as Falcons to earn multiple all-conference honors.
