DE PERE, Wis. – The CUW women's hockey team opened the weekend at St. Norbert on Friday night. The Green Knights won round one with a 3-0 victory. The loss sends CUW to 6-2-1 on the year.
The Green Knights scored a goal in each period on Friday. The third-period goal was an empty-net goal.
Senior Emily Reimche (Billings, Mont.) had three of the 11 CUW shots on Friday.
Senior Annalina Van Hercke (Castle Rock, Colo.) posted 51 saves on 53 shots.
The Falcons did not allow a power-play goal on four penalties.
CUW hosts St. Norbert on Saturday night for round two.
