Around the arc: Falcons host Eagles in important matchup
MEQUON, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin and Benedictine battle on Wednesday night at 7 pm inside the R. John Buuck Field House in a NACC contest featuring two teams that are tied for second with a 12-4 record.

NEWSWORTHY NOTES
• BATTLE OF THE BIRDS: A lot is at stake on Wednesday night between Concordia Wisconsin and Benedictine, but the most important is the chance for a first round NACC Tournament bye. Both teams sit at 12-4 in the standings and tied for second place. The new postseason format is the top two teams get a bye, while the remaining four teams compete. Then the No. 1 seed hosts the remaining four teams.
• PLAYING KEEP AWAY: Concordia Wisconsin enters the night ranked first in league-only games with an 11.7 turnovers per game average. She Falcons have committed 12 or fewer errors in six conference games.
• CLOSING IN ON 1,000: Senior Brianna Wagner has scored 967 points throughout her career and is closing in on becoming the program's 17th player to reach the milestone. The forward is scoring a career-best 13.0 points per game this season.
• 800-800: Audrey Scharmer is on pace to join an elite group in program history, those that have at least 800 career points and rebounds. The senior has 899 points and 780 rebounds. If she reaches the historic mark, she would be one of four known players to achieve the milestone. In addition, the forward has recorded 11 double-doubles this season.
• SCOUTING BENEDICTINE: The Eagles recently dropped their last game 79-72 at MSOE, a team on the outside looking in at the NACC Tournament. Benedictine next three games over the next week won't be easy; as Concordia Wisconsin, Concordia Chicago and Wisconsin Lutheran all sit in the top four of the NACC standings. D'Asia Williams and Venita Parsons pace the Eagles offense at 11.6 and 10.6 points per game, respectively. The duo is making a combined 3.1 3-pointers per game and hauling in 9.4 rebounds.
