Maya Hielscher Breaks Pentathlon Record at Ripon

RIPON, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's track & field team had Maya Hielscher compete at the Ripon NCAA Final Qualifier & Multi on Friday afternoon. She had an amazing performance today with a school record of 3085, breaking her own record.

A junior from Macomb, Michigan, Maya Hielscher opened the pentathlon on Friday.

She opened the day with a first-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles at 9.19.

Hielscher then tied for first place in the high jump with Elanor Bachmeier of Redlands at 1.56 meters.

She then finished fourth in the shot put at 8.05 meters.

The Michigander shined bright in the long jump in first place at 5.48 meters for a season-best mark.

Hielscher then finished in sixth place in the 800-meter run with a career-best time of 2:53.48.

Hielscher closes the contest on Saturday.
