Maya Hielscher Named NACC Student-Athlete of the Week
MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) released its weekly honors on Tuesday morning. Maya Hielscher was voted as the NACC Student-Athlete of the Week for women's field. The Student-Athlete of the Week Awards are voted on by the athletic communications professionals within the conference.
A junior from Macomb, Michigan, Maya Hielscher is collecting her second honor of the season. She was voted as the Student-Athlete of the Week for Track on Dec. 3.
At Parkside, she finished in second place in the long jump pit with a mark of 5.28 meters. Her mark ranks 60th in NCAA Division III.
The Michigan native also finished 13th in the shot put competition at 8.06 meters.
Hielscher and the Falcons return to action this weekend at Wisconsin-Whitewater.
