Maya Hielscher Named NACC Track Athlete of the Week
MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its weekly Student-Athlete of the Week awards on Tuesday morning. Maya Hielscher was voted as the NACC Student-Athlete of the Week for Women's Track by the athletic communications professionals within the conference.
A junior from Macomb, Michigan, Maya Hielscher is claiming the honor for the first time in her storied career.
Hielscher finished second in the 60-meter hurdles at 9.24 at Ripon. Her time ranks 12th in NCAA Division III.
She is the first Falcon to claim the indoor honor since Ashley Samuta did so on Dec. 12, 2021.
Peyton Panka of St. Norbert was voted as the NACC Field Athlete of the Week.
