Track & Field Secures Six CSC Academic All-District Selections
MEQUON, Wis. – The College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced the 2024 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Cross Country and Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes cross country and track & field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The Concordia Wisconsin track & field teams landed a program record six selections in 2024. Senior Jenna Zahorik (Reedsville, Wis.) in the 100-meter dash, junior Maya Hielscher (Macomb, Mich.) in the javelin, senior Sabrina Moore (Park Ridge, Ill.) in the 100-meter dash, senior Anessa Yim (Spokane, Wash.) in the 3000-meter steeplechase, junior Bernie Van Den Heuvel (Valders, Wis.) in the 110-meter hurdles and senior Seth Day (Sunset Hills, Mo.) in the javelin.
Maya Hielscher advanced to the CSC Academic All-America ballot.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced on July 9.
