Gina Followell claims the NACC North Pitcher of the Week crown
MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) named the Softball Student-Athletes of the Week on Wednesday and announced Gina Followell the NACC North Division Student-Athlete of the Week.
A junior from Romeoville, Illinois, Gina Followell is claiming the honor for the first time this season and for the second time in her career.
The queen of the north struck out 12 while scattering two hits and a walk in a complete-game effort to lead Concordia Wisconsin to a 7-0 win over Wisconsin Lutheran on April 5. It was her lone appearance of the week.
Followell and the Falcons return to action on Saturday at Alverno.
