Goetsch earns NAC Softball Position Player of the Week honor

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Concordia University Wisconsin senior Abbie Goetsch was named the Northern Athletics Conference Softball Position Player Student Athlete of the Week for the events of March 25-31, the league office announced Tuesday.

Goetsch (Grayslake, Ill.) batted .545 over the Falcons final four games in Florida in helping lead her team to a 3-1 record. The catcher had her best game in a 5-4 upset win over No. 16 University of St. Thomas as she went 3-for-3 and belted a walk off single. Goetsch also led CUW to a 5-4 victory over No. 20 Carthage College.

Goetsch and the Falcons are currently 6-8 and are scheduled to begin NAC play Thursday with a doubleheader against Marian University.
