Men’s Soccer Ends the Season in the NACC Tournament

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The CUW men's soccer season came to an end on Saturday afternoon in the NACC Tournament Quarterfinals. MSOE sank the Falcons 3-2 to end the season at 9-8-1.

The Raiders jumped out to an early lead on Saturday with a pair of goals in the first 15 minutes.

Senior Alex Labastida (Chicago, Ill.) collected a loose ball in the box and scored in the 28th minute.

The Raiders took a 2-1 lead into halftime, but that did not last long.

Junior Nick Hummel (Green Bay, Wis.) leveled the match in the 49th minute with a goal off a long pass from junior Ivan Cuellar (Milwaukee, Wis.).

The Raiders took the lead in the 56th minute on an unfortunate bounce for the Falcons and held on to that lead for the rest of the match.

MSOE outshot CUW on Saturday, 17-15. Ivan Cuellar led the effort for the Falcons with five shots.

Junior Mattson Wick (New Berlin, Wis.) had two saves against the Raiders.

The Blue and White finish the year with a winning record for the seventh-straight season and the 27th time in the last 28 years.

The Falcons will return to the field for the 2022 season.
