MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons dropped their first home contest of the season on Wednesday afternoon in a NACC tilt with St. Norbert. The Green Knights escaped with a 3-2 victory to remain undefeated in NACC play and send CUW to 5-4-0 and to 3-2-0 in the NACC.
The Green Knights took the lead with goals in the 12th and 50th minutes from Tomas Pazos.
Junior Gilberto Gomez (Zion, Ill.) led the comeback with a goal in the 62nd minute.
Seven minutes later, senior Jacob Stemper (Hartland, Wis.) sent the ball into the back of the net to tie the game off an assist to Gomez.
The Green Knights then countered 14 seconds later with the game-winning goal.
CUW held a 21-9 shots advantage on the afternoon. Gilberto Gomez led the flock with seven shots.
Junior Mattson Wick (New Berlin, Wis.) collected three saves in net.
The Falcons will turn the calendar to October and travel to Rockford on Saturday.
