Salvador Hat Trick Silences the Scarlet Hawks

MEQUON, Wis. – The Falcons protected home turf and picked up another three points with a 4-0 result over Illinois Tech on Saturday afternoon. The Falcons improve to 5-3-0 on the year and 3-1-0 in NACC play.

Senior Tyler Salvador (Lindenhurst, Ill.) scored his first goal of the afternoon in the seventh minute of play off a pass from senior Alex Labastida (Chicago, Ill.).

Salvador struck again in the 41st minute off a blast off the crossbar.

Salvador secured the hat trick in the 57th minute off an assist from junior Gilberto Gomez (Zion, Ill.).

Freshman Dominic Reynoso (Sheboygan, Wis.) scored his first collegiate goal in the 90th minute off a long pass in from junior Ivan Cuellar (Milwaukee, Wis.).

The CUW defense posted its second-straight clean sheet on Saturday with junior Mattson Wick (New Berlin, Wis.) securing the victory with two saves.

The Falcons held a majority of the possession and took 26 shots against the Scarlet Hawks. Ivan Cuellar led the attack with eight shots against IIT.

The Blue and White host St. Norbert in a key NACC matchup on Wednesday afternoon.
