Men’s Soccer Gets Revenge at WLC

MEQUON, Wis. – The men's soccer team took on the Wisconsin Lutheran Warriors in a NACC North Semifinal rematch. The Falcons walked away with a 3-0 victory.

The Falcons struck early with a goal from junior Gilberto Gomez (Zion, Ill.).  The first Falcon goal came in the second minute of play with an assist from junior Nick Hummel (Green Bay, Wis.).

The Falcons dominated the first half keeping the Warriors to one shot in total and zero on goal while they racked up 10 shots with three on goal and one goal.

The Falcons would score again in the 56th minute off the foot of Nick Hummel with an assist from junior Miguel Garcia (Batavia, Ill.). 

A penalty kick in the 81st minute went in for a goal, through the hands of the keeper, recording the third goal of the contest by senior Sam Runyan (Muskego, Wis.).

The Falcons defense showed off, holding the Warriors to six total shots with just two on goal.

Junior Mattson Wick (New Berlin, Wis.) didn't have to do much recording just two saves behind a solid defensive line.

The Falcons return home on Saturday for another NACC matchup against the Scarlet Hawks of IIT.
