Falcons Hit a Road Bump in the NACC

LISLE, Ill. – The Falcons were edged in the first NACC road contest of the year at Benedictine on Saturday. The Eagles protected their nest to send the Falcons to 3-3 and 1-1 in the NACC with a 2-1 victory.

The Eagles struck first on Saturday with a goal in the 60th minute.

Junior Gilberto Gomez (Zion, Ill.) evened the game at one with a goal four minutes later.

Benedictine scored the game-winning goal in the 84th minute to secure the victory.

The Red and White held a 13-3 advantage in shots on Saturday.

Junior Mattson Wick (New Berlin, Wis.) recorded six saves in the net against the Eagles.

CUW looks to bounce back on Wednesday at Wisconsin Lutheran.
