Falcons Snap CUC Win Streak

MEQUON, Wis. – The longest winning streak in CUC program history came to an end on Saturday afternoon in a 3-1 victory for the Falcons. The win also pushes the Falcons back into the NACC Tournament hunt into the six seed with 19 points.

Senior Tyler Salvador (Lindenhurst, Ill.) scored early in the third minute off an assist to senior Owen Johnson (Seneca, Ill.) for the lone goal of the first half.

Junior Nick Hummel (Green Bay, Wis.) found the back of the net in the 53rd minute off a pass from junior Ivan Cuellar (Milwaukee, Wis.).

The Cougars clawed back and scored six minutes later to cut into the lead.

Nick Hummel secured the victory with a goal in the 87th minute off a senior Spencer Standarski (Waukesha, Wis.) assist.

The Cougars edged the Falcons in shots on Saturday, 19-17. Junior Mattson Wick (New Berlin, Wis.) was up to the task and secured six saves in the victory.

Nick Hummel led the Falcons with four shots.

The Falcons look to secure a spot in the NACC Tournament on Senior Day against Lakeland.
