Sam Beers Claims NACC Weekly Honors

MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its Baseball Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday afternoon for the week of April 18-24, 2022. The honorees were selected by the league's athletics communications professionals. Sam Beers was voted as the NACC Position Player of the Week.

A senior from Janesville, Wisconsin, is claiming the honor for the first time this season and for the fourth time in his career.

Sam Beers posted a sensational week that was filled with 18 hits, with six home runs and three doubles.

He recorded a two-home run performance in game two at St. Norbert.

Beers finished the week with a .581 batting average and a 1.258 slugging percentage.

The Wisconsin native had a hit in all seven games during the week and finished with 14 RBI and 13 runs.

Stephen Sewruk of Benedictine was named the NACC Pitcher of the Week.
