Zach Slome Secures NACC Pitcher of the Week Title
MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its student-athletes of the week on Tuesday morning and Zach Slome walked away with the NACC Pitcher of the Week honor as selected by the league's athletic communications professionals.
A freshman from Schaumburg, Illinois, Zach Slome is claiming the honor for the first time in his career.
The Illinois native threw a no-hitter in a 5-0 win over Bethany Lutheran on March 12. He struck out 10 in the seven-inning contest while walking just two batters in his first collegiate start.
Nico Bermeo of Aurora was named the Position Player of the Week.
Slome and the Falcons return to action on Tuesday against Hamline.
