The Falcons struck first on Saturday with a home run from senior Sam Beers (Janesville, Wis.) in the first inning.

A solo home run for SNC tied the game in the second inning.

The Green Knights took the lead with four runs in the fourth inning and one run in the sixth inning.

The Falcons fought back with four runs in the seventh inning.

Senior Johannes Haakenson (Janesville, Wis.) started the rally with a single that scored senior Sean Tillmon (Plainfield, Ill.).

Kyle Kosobucki was walked with the bases loaded to score Sam Beers.

Senior Cole Aguirre (De Pere, Wis.) kept the assembly line rolling in his return home with a single that allowed Johannes Haakenson to safely cross home plate.

Senior Daniel Hahn (Cudahy, Wis.) had the final run of the inning on a single that scored senior Drew Johnson (Menasha, Wis.) to make it a one-run game.

The Green and Yellow added three more runs in the eighth inning.

The Falcons did not fold and cut into the deficit with a sacrifice fly to right field from junior Josh Bentley (Lockport, Ill.) that sent freshman Kyle Flynn (Downers Grove, Ill.) home.

Freshman Zach Slome (Schaumburg, Ill.) had four strikeouts in the start in game one.

The Blue and White were first onto the scoreboard again in game two when senior Tristan Largent (Verona, Wis.) sent the ball flying out of the park in the second inning.

The Green Knights then countered with three runs in the bottom half of the inning.

Drew Johnson scored in the fourth inning on a single from junior Cole Aguirre (Chino Hills, Calif.) to right field.

SNC once again countered the run with a run of their own in the bottom half of the inning.

Sam Beers struck again in the fifth inning with a single that scored Daniel Hahn from third base.

The Green Knights responded with three runs in the fifth and sixth inning.

Beers showed once again why he is one of the best players in NCAA Division III when he blasted a home run that also scored Sean Tillmon after he started the inning with a single.

SNC added two more runs to the lead with two more runs in the seventh inning.

The Green Knights never learned their lesson and pitched to Sam Beers in the eighth inning. Beers launched the ball out of Van Alstine Field to score Daniel Han and sophomore Brooks Kalscheur (Middleton, Wis.).

The Falcons fought to the very end and rallied in the ninth.

Daniel Hahn started the scoring on a single that scored Cole Aguirre from second base.

Sophomore Michael Machamer (Lake Zurich, Ill.) led the Falcons with three strikeouts on Saturday in one inning pitched.

Sam Beers finished a perfect four-for-four at the plate in game two with five RBI, two runs and one walk.

The Falcons look to get back on track on Sunday at home against the Cougars of Concordia Chicago.
