Beers Named to D3Baseball.com Preseason All-American Team

MEQUON, Wis. – D3Baseball.com announced its 2022 Preseason All-American teams and senior third baseman Sam Beers was named to the 2022 Third Team.

A senior from Janesville, Wisconsin, Sam Beers earned two All-American honors in 2021 with an ABCA All-American First Team selection and a d3baseball.com Third Team selection at third base.

The CUW senior also earned All-Region honors, All-NACC accolades and was named the NACC North Division Co-Position Player of the Year.

Beers posted an outstanding 2021 season and boasted the 27th-best batting average in NCAA Division III at .442. He also smacked 69 hits on the season, which was the 14th best mark in NCAA Division III. He was also 31st in total bases in 2021 with 110. He notched 14 doubles, seven home runs and three triples. Beers also stole six bases on the year. The Wisconsin native played a key role in the Concordia offense and scored 41 runs and had 46 runs batted in.

Beers and the Falcons are scheduled to start the 2022 season on Feb. 27 against Carroll.
