Baseball 2022 Season Preview

MEQUON, Wis. – The CUW baseball team kicks off their 2022 campaign on Tuesday afternoon at Carroll with a fire and a hunger to finish last season's mission.

The Falcons come off of a year that saw a 25-17 overall record with a 12-8 record in conference.  With a total of 352 runs in 42 games, the Falcons are looking to return their firepower heading into the new season.

Last year's CUW Male Athlete of the Year recipient in senior Sam Beers is coming back for a fourth season with the Falcons.  Last season, Beers was named not only an ABCA All-Region First-Teamer but also an All-American in his junior year.

The Falcons are returning five starting position players and a starting pitcher in their typical spots for Tuesday's season opener.

Coach Eddy Morgan added 16 new freshmen to the roster for the 2022 season.  Morgan is entering his ninth season at the helm of the Falcons with 170 total wins.

The Blue and White were projected third in the conference behind Aurora and Benedictine after a NACC Championship appearance in 2021.

The Falcons open play with a pair of games against Carroll on Tuesday and Wednesday.
