RINK NOTES
- The Falcons are set to host their first-ever NCHA Playoff series this weekend against Lake Forest. CUW earned the right to host after placing second in the NCHA South Division. The Falcons (24 points) finished two points ahead of the Foresters (22 points).

- This weekend's series will use a two-game/mini-game format. CUW and the Foresters will meet Friday and Saturday night. If the two teams split the first two games (two ties, or one win each) a 20-minute mini-game will take approximately 18 minutes after the conclusion of
Saturday's game.

- The Falcons swept the season series against Lake Forest. CUW went on the road and picked up a 3-2 win on December 2 and used a four-goal third period to defeat the Foresters, 5-2, on January 27 at home.

- Nick Guiney posted two strong games against the Foresters this season. Guiney, who finished the regular season with 17 points, recorded four points over the two meetings with Lake Forest. Guiney enters the NCHA Playoffs with six points in his lasts five games.

- There should be no secrets as to who is starting at goaltender for each team this weekend. Nick Malvin has posted the best season in program history for the Falcons with 13 wins, a .917 save percentage and a 2.52 goals against average. The Foresters will likely counter with Louis Phillipe De Courcy, who owns a 1.98 goals against average and a .931 save percentage to go along with a 10-7-1 record.

- Earning home ice was important for the Falcons, who have posted a 9-3-1 record inside the Ozaukee Ice Center this season. The Foresters were 6-6-1 in road games this year.

- CUW last appeared in the Harris Cup Quarterfinals during the 2015-16 season. In 2015-16, the Quarterfinal round was one game and the Falcons fell at Marian, 3-0.
