Seel named NCHA Offensive Player of the Week

WAUKESHA, Wis. – Stefen Seel has secured the first NCHA Men's Hockey Offensive Player of the Week award of the 2017-18 season, the league office announced Tuesday.

Seel (Invermere, British Columbia) scored four points over the Falcons 2-0 opening weekend, all four of his points coming against UW-Superior. In the Saturday win over the Yellowjackets, Seel scored twice and added two assists, playing a role in every goal in a 4-2 win. He got the scoring started with a penalty shot early in the opening period.

Seel and the Falcons picked up two wins over WIAC opponents to start the season, also defeating UW-River Falls in a 4-3 comeback win Friday night.

Zach Woodman of MSOE was named the NCHA Defensive Player of the Week. A release from the league office can be found here.

Seel and the Falcons will return to action with a trip to De Pere Friday to take on No. 1 St. Norbert at 7 p.m.
