Rink Notes: Men's Hockey returns home for two NCHA contests

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Hockey team returns to the Ozaukee Ice Center for the first time in over a month when the Falcons host a pair of NCHA foes this weekend. CUW will battle Marian Friday night before taking on Lawrence Saturday evening.

THE BASICS
- Who: Marian (8-3-1, 3-3 NCHA)/Lawrence (5-7-1, 3-3 NCHA) at CUW (8-3-2, 4-2 NCHA)
- When: Friday, January 5 – 7:30 p.m. / Saturday, January 6 – 7 p.m.
- Where: Ozaukee Ice Center – Mequon, Wisconsin

DIGITAL GAME PROGRAMS
- A digital game program for this weekend's game can be found here. A limited number of front-and-back programs will be available at the rink for $2. Fans can also access the digital game program at the rink by visiting cuwfalcons.com/program on their mobile devices.

RINK NOTES
- The Falcons are set for their first games of the 2018 portion of the schedule by hosting a pair of NCHA contests. CUW will welcome Marian and Lawrence to the Ozaukee Ice Center this weekend.

- CUW had an outstanding first half of the season, posting an 8-3-2 record, including a 4-2 mark in the NCHA. The Falcons have been especially good at home this season, registering a 5-1-1 record at the Ozaukee Ice Center.

- CUW will take on a familiar face this weekend in Marian head coach Zach Gaynor. Gaynor served as the Falcons top assistant for the past five years.

- Josh Adkins and Dante Hahn have led the Falcons through the first half, each playing producing 13 points. Freshman Braydon Barker is off to a strong start in his first season with the team as the blueliner has recorded 11 points.

- One area the Falcons will look to improve on in the second half is the power play. CUW has scored on 13.4 percent of its power play opportunities, registering nine goals in 67 chances. The 13.4 percent success rate ranks 71st nationally.
