Rink Notes: Men's Hockey battles Spartans Friday night

MEQUON, Wis. – The Concordia University Wisconsin Men's Hockey team concludes a five-game homestand Friday night with an NCHA tilt against Aurora. The Falcons will also visit Lake Forest Saturday for a two-game conference weekend.  

THE BASICS
- Who: Aurora (1-6-2, 0-3-1 NCHA) at Concordia Wisconsin (6-1-1, 3-1 NCHA)
- When: Friday, December 1 – 7:30 p.m.
- Where: Ozaukee Ice Center – Mequon, Wisconsin

RINK NOTES
- The Falcons conclude a five-game homestand with a return to NCHA play against Aurora. The Falcons will then head to Lake Forest Saturday for another conference tilt.

- CUW enters the weekend on a five-game unbeaten streak, winning four and tying one over the stretch. The Falcons are also unbeaten at home this season, posting a 5-0-1 record at the Ozaukee Ice Center.

- Aurora joined the NCAA ranks during the 2014-15 season and since then CUW has faced the Spartans twice a year. The Falcons are 5-1 against Aurora all time, the only loss coming at home nearly one year to the date (December 2, 2016).

- The sophomore line of Josh Adkins-Dante Hahn-Jim Pearson has produced at a high rate this season. Adkins leads the way with nine points, while Hahn has scored five goals. All three players have at least five points and all have a +3 or better plus/minus rating.

- The Falcons have been one of the top defensive teams in the country through their first eight games. CUW has allowed 1.88 goals per game, which ranks 10th nationally. Friday's opponent, Aurora has scored just 1.78 goals per game, but Saturday's opponent, Lake Forest, is averaging 3.67 goals per contest.
