Men's Hockey gets road victory against MSOE

Milwaukee, Wis. – Concordia Wisconsin's Men's Hockey team took a road trip to MSOE for a NCHA matchup that resulted in an important 3-1 victory over the Raiders, as the Falcons were ran an efficient offensive to find the back of the net.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Both teams battled for much of the first period until junior Eric Therrien (Willow Bunch, Saskatchewan) found the back of the net 16:21 into the opening 20 minutes of play. Only a minute and twenty seconds after, the Falcons gained even more momentum when junior Taylor Gauld (Whitby, Ontario) fired in a goal to push the lead to 2-0 at the end of the first period of play. 
- MSOE responded in the second period when Nick Redmon snuck in a goal to chip away at the Falcon lead, making the score 2-1 and 5:28 into the period. Sophomore Josh Adkins (Victoria, British Columbia) came back with a goal of his own to push CUW back up to a two-goal lead where it would sit for the rest of the contest and finish with a 3-1 Concordia Wisconsin victory.
- The Falcons didn't need many shots as they only recorded 22 but found the net three times. Junior Nick Malvin (Ham Lake, Minn.) stood tall in goal saving 38 shots in 60 minutes of play. CUW was penalized 5 times for 10 minutes but killed off all four power-plays. Freshman Braydon Barker (Red Deer, Alberta) and senior Jared Pilet (Seattle, Wash.) finished with two assists each on the night

- The Falcons will be back at home on Saturday for Senior Night, as they host MSOE withpuck drop scheduled for 7:00 pm.
