Falcons Sink St. Scholastica in Spring Break Finale

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's tennis team concluded spring break play on Friday afternoon against the Saints of the College of St. Scholastica. The Falcons improve to 15-3 on the year and close spring break with a 5-1 record after sinking the Saints, 7-2.

The Falcons brought out the brooms in doubles play.

The senior duo of Ricki Budewitz (Watertown, Wis.) and Ashley Samuta (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) secured an 8-5 victory at No. 1 doubles.

Freshman Sofia Buhr (Blumenau, Brazil) and senior Mallory Moen (Neenah, Wis.) bounced the Saints at No. 2 doubles, 8-1.

Senior Mia Andrae (Cedarburg, Wis.) and junior Mya Werning (Watertown, Wis.) downed CSS at No. 3 doubles, 8-6.

Ricki Budewitz beat Martina Garcia at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-1.

At No. 2 singles, Sofia Buhr burned Mishell Benitez, 6-1, 6-3.

Ashley Samuta sank Maria Sosa at No. 3 singles, 6-3, 6-1.

Mia Andrae overwhelmed Anna Ritche at No. 4 singles with a 6-2, 4-6, 10-5.

The Falcons return to Wisconsin action on March 17 at Carthage.
