MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's tennis team finished the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference season undefeated with a 9-0 victory at Wisconsin Lutheran on Saturday afternoon. The victory sends CUW to 10-0 on the year and 9-0 in the NACC.
The team of junior Mya Werning (Watertown, Wis.) and freshman Sofia Buhr (Blumenau, Brazil) posted an 8-0 victory to start the day at No. 3 doubles.
The sensational senior duo of Mia Andrae (Cedarburg, Wis.) and Mallory Moen (Neenah, Wis.) picked up an 8-2 victory at No. 2 doubles.
The team of senior Ricki Budewitz (Watertown, Wis.) and senior Ashley Samuta (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) finished NACC play unbeaten at No. 1 doubles with an 8-4 victory.
Ashley Samuta finished NACC play unbeaten at No. 2 singles with a 6-0, 6-0 sweep over Jena Smith.
Ricki Budewitz showed why she is the best in the NACC with another perfect record at No. 1 singles with a 6-1, 6-0 victory over Katelynn Haskell.
Sofia Buhr sank Ali Schmidt at No. 3 singles, 6-2, 6-1.
Mia Andrae ate up Sky Pope at No. 5 singles, 6-3, 6-3.
Mya Werning wrapped up Haley Olson at No. 6 singles, 6-0, 1-6, 6-1.
Mallory Moen battled back and bounced Izzy Hawley, 5-7, 7-5, 10-3.
The Falcons return to play in February at Wheaton.
