Falcons Clinch a Share of the NACC Title at MSOE

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Concordia Wisconsin women's tennis team took care of business on Tuesday afternoon at MSOE. The Falcons routed the Raiders with a 9-0 victory to improve to 9-0 on the season and 8-0 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.

With the victory the women's tennis program clinched its 11th conference regular-season title in its storied history joining the 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2022 teams.

The dynamic duo of senior Ricki Budewitz (Watertown, Wis.) and senior Ashley Samuta (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) wasted no time with an 8-0 victory at No. 1 doubles.

The tremendous team of junior Mya Werning (Watertown, Wis.) and freshman Sofia Buhr (Blumenau, Brazil) wrecked the Raiders with an 8-0 victory at No. 2 doubles.

The sensational senior duo of Mia Andrae (Cedarburg, Wis.) and Mallory Moen (Neenah, Wis.) also picked up an 8-0 victory at No. 2 doubles.

Ricki Budewitz brushed away Gabrielle Haensgen at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-1.

At No. 2 singles, Ashley Samuta swept Stephania Gonzales, 6-0, 6-0.

Sofia Buhr bullied Brenna Sheehan at No. 3 singles, 6-1, 6-0.

Mallory Moen mowed down Katie Ross at No. 4 singles, 6-2, 6-0.

Mia Andrae overpowered Emily Gutknecht at No. 5, 6-1, 6-0.

Junior Peyton Morgan (Arlington Heights, Ill.) mopped up Kelsey Collins at No. 6 singles, 6-1, 6-1.

The Falcons can win the conference title outright with a victory at Wisconsin Lutheran on Wednesday.
