Ricki Budewitz Claims NACC Student-Athlete of the Week Honor
MEQUON, Wis. – The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) announced its Student-Athlete of the Week awards on Thursday morning for women's tennis. Ricki Budewitz was voted as the NACC Student-Athlete of the Week for women's tennis by the NACC sports information professionals.
A senior from Watertown, Wisconsin, Ricki Budewitz is claiming the honor for the first time this season and for the sixth time in her career.
With senior Ashley Samuta, the Falcons picked up an 8-3 victory at No. 1 doubles over Carroll.
She then secured a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Natasha Pupovac on Friday to help the Falcons take back the CU Cup.
Budewitz and the Falcons return to action on Friday at St. Norbert in the NACC opener.
